Protocol literary award website

context

The Protocol literary award is founded to support authors who write about processes taking place in Russian society. We are looking for authors who really reveal the life of a human in Russia.

Scroll

Protocol literary award website

brief

To make a logotype, a clean website and to convey the aesthetics of the award: literary, modern, moderately trendy.

Protocol literary award website

solution

The logotype is a wide grotesque, conveying the contemporary nature of the award. It also has a hidden metaphor: the diagonal strokes of the letter "k" and the letter "o" form a subtle image of a reading person. It is used as a contracted version of the logo for the social networks avatar, favicon, and in similar situations.

We used initials, indents, line breaks, and a modern style serif. Classic red refers to medieval books. An unusual layout is being used throughout the site. Fast seamless transitions make navigation flawless. The homepage preloader focuses the visitor's attention on the slogan and the key idea of the award—for the truth.

Delta mobile application design

context

Delta is a technology company for monitoring and comprehensive protection of property. Their system is easy-to-connect and easy-to-use.

Delta mobile application design

brief

To design a mobile app for monitoring vehicle status and remote control.

Delta mobile application design

solution (page 1)

The product's target audience is owners of premium cars who are 35+ years old. According to marketing research, the use of flat style can adversely affect the service sales in the desired segment. We have offered two solutions. The first is to design a futuristic interface with glows and dynamic background. The second is to simulate the display and buttons of the car interior to emphasize the app belongs to the automotive industry.

Delta mobile application design

solution (page 2)

A non-trivial design approach has not affected the interface usability. The app is managed by using native gestures and elements: a tab bar for the main sections, long tap to protect against accidental actions, visual indicators of the command-sending progress and auxiliary animation. We have also designed a light theme for lovers of lighter UI and for the product is easy-to-use in bright daylight.

GLYF studio identity and website design

context

GLYF is an interactive design studio from Moscow. The company creates websites, mobile and desktop applications, logotypes and identities. The main emphasis of their work is clear sense, design and technology.

GLYF studio identity and website design

brief

To create a design studio’s website with a focus on simple non-trivial solutions, usability, and UX.

GLYF studio identity and website design

solution (page 1)

Large navigation block on the first screen helps a visitor to quickly find a link to go to the desired section. Animated block transformation hints you where to find it from the inner pages. The running panel of selected projects softly draws your attention to the main section of the website and complements the UI of the “Studio” page, which is made up of text mainly.

Page scroll’s progress bar with anchor links to subsections, text volume switcher in “About Us” and “Reviews” blocks, the services’ navigation links to the sorted sections of the portfolio—all this ensures clear and easy navigation through the website and taking of targeted actions.

solution (page 2)

The “Projects” section contains navigation within parent categories, as well as major project cards. Each contains a title, product launch year, sorting hashtags, website link, and project description, hidden by default. In the future, we are planning to publish links to detailed case studies on external platforms.

To support the studio’s new brand concept—“Design and Technology. People”, the “Contacts” section contains an interactive brief for clients which simulates live communication and a gallery of atmospheric photos of the studio workflow.

Avalon website design

context

Avalon is a Russian supplier of large wholesale batches of furniture for bars and cafes. The extensive company’s catalog includes more than 1500 items. It has been operating in the market since 2003.

Avalon website design

brief

To develop the company's new online catalog, which will attract visitors who are interested in high-quality designers furniture.

Avalon website design

solution

While keeping the canonical structure of the product catalog, the new website expands the target audience by using ‘designer’ techniques: large contrast headlines, the grid with offsets and smooth transitions between sections. It is fully functional on all desktop and mobile devices without restrictions.
